MyDegreePath (Student) – What It Is

The MyDegreePath Audit, or MDP Audit, is your personalized, interactive report that shows how your completed, in-progress, and approved transfer courses apply to your degree requirements at UC Merced.

How It Helps You

  • Monitor progress toward your major, minor, and General Education (GE) requirements.
  • See which requirements are complete, in progress, or unfulfilled
  • Prepare for registration, academic advising, and graduation

Note: Your MDP Audit is one of the tools used during final degree clearance when you apply for graduation.

What Does the Audit Show?

  • Courses completed at UC Merced
  • Approved transfer coursework
  • In-progress courses
  • Requirements for your GE, major, electives, and university-wide graduation requirements

A “my degree PATH” audit dashboard displays academic progress for a Cognitive Sciences, BS program. Tabs at the top include “Audits,” “Schedules,” and “Comments,” with “Audits” selected. The page shows categories such as UCM requirements, general education, and major progress, with color-coded bars indicating unfulfilled, planned, in-progress, and completed units. A snapshot panel on the right displays progress toward total required units and current GPA. Below, a list highlights requirements and notes, including a message indicating that at least one requirement has not been satisfied. Additional sections outline specific requirements such as minimum units, cumulative GPA, and residency requirements.

Who Sees Your Audit?

  • You (the student)
  • Your academic advisor(s)
  • Graduation evaluators (when you apply to graduate)

What Is a "What-If" Audit?

You can run "What-If" audits to explore how your current and future classes would apply if you switched to a different major, minor, or catalog year. This tool helps you understand your academic options without officially changing your program.

A “my degree PATH” audit dashboard displays academic progress for a Psychology, BA program. Tabs at the top include “Audits,” “Schedules,” and “Comments,” with “Audits” selected. The page shows category progress for UCM requirements, general education, and major using color-coded bars for unfulfilled, planned, in-progress, and completed units. A snapshot panel on the right shows progress toward total required units (45 of 120) and current GPA (2.502 out of 4.0). Below, a section notes that at least one requirement has not been satisfied and lists items such as courses not currently applying toward the degree, minimum unit requirements, cumulative GPA, and residency requirements.
