Access Periods

Continuing students

Check your registration status and appointment time with My Registration (a link available in My Merced). Appointment times are available in October for spring registration and March for fall registration, approximately 2 to 3 weeks before registration begins. Registration appointments are assigned based on the amount of earned and in-progress units a student has at that time. After a registration appointment is assigned, it will not be changed. This includes instances where transcripts, eligible for transfer credit review, are received after a registration appointment has been assigned. For transfer credit to be included for spring 2022 assignments, students should have official transcripts submitted to the Office of the Registrar by September 15, 2021. Spring 2022 registration appointments will be available for review in My Registration located in the My Merced portlet of

Register at your earliest convenience when your registration appointment opens to obtain the best selection of classes and ensure access to MyRegistration. Delaying registration may limit the number of preferred classes available to you to register in.


New students

First-year and transfer students entering the University will be sent information about registration appointment times, how to register, and courses your advisor recommends you should take. Of course, all new students are encouraged to attend an orientation session. During orientation incoming students will meet with their academic advisor.
